The reason for my career and my future.

 Hello i will talk about why i was decide to study psychology.

I decided to study psychology, because of the important work it does in our society and as individuals, that it is guaranteed to have access to a dignified and equitable mental health, and it will be something that I would like to work as much as possible, from my neighborhood and sectors of greater vulnerability, because it is where less information is handled, due to the little visibility and accessibility that is counted.

And that is why the area of study that most catches my attention is community psychology, because it explains the social determinants of mental health, taking into account factors that in my opinion are important for the analysis of the discomfort of society, I mean social injustice, poverty, inequality gap, and the limits of psychology to address these named edges.

For me it is an important mission, because as I said before, I come from a very small commune with high rates of vulnerability, where access to comprehensive mental health is a class privilege. There are alternatives in the public system, but they are not enough to provide coverage, since people do not understand, much less are informed of the importance of treating mental health.
